Anne Nelson is an educator and artist with a love for the process of creating and giving new life to pieces found at thrift stores and Builders ReSupply. She believes making something beautiful from broken or unwanted items can be a metaphor for how we see life.
In this hands-on workshop, Anne will introduce us to the world of up-cycling and art. Learn how to reshape your view of forgotten items and look at everyday objects through the eyes of an artist. Using a few hidden treasures from Builders ReSupply, you will transform everyday household items into art for your home and yard.
While working on a small project, Anne will teach us how to choose items to upcycle and what tools and supplies are needed. All are welcome here — this is a no judgment zone. All creations are celebrated and laughs are welcome as you share repurposing ideas and stories!
The Sustainable Living Center is so grateful to have Anne share her expertise with our community through this workshop! They are introducing a pay-what-you-can model for workshop registration because they believe the cost of a workshop should not be an obstacle to discovery and learning! This workshop is open to the public. Registration is required.
