Fridge Pickles with Jennifer Kleffner

  • Water and Environmental Center — Classroom 2023/2024 640 Water Center Drive Walla Walla, WA, 99362 United States (map)

Jennifer Kleffner is the owner of Miles Away Farm in Walla Walla. She has been farming for years, and in 2011, she took her farm from hobby to business. Jennifer has previously taught classes at the Sustainable Living Center and they are so grateful to have her back this summer. Jennifer has expertise in farming, all things food preservation, and homesteading.

In this workshop, Jennifer will show us how to capture the summer abundance in new and creative ways. She will introduce us to the quick pickle process and demonstrate the tools of the trade. Jennifer is a wealth of knowledge and will provide tips, tricks, and resources for all things pickling and advice for future pickling projects.

The Sustainable Living Center is so grateful to have Jennifer share her expertise with our community through this workshop! They are introducing a pay-what-you-can model for workshop registration because they believe the cost of a workshop should not be an obstacle to discovery and learning! This workshop is open to the public. Registration is required.
