Join us for vocal, piano, and organ pieces performed by students of the Music Department and spoken word by Sara Kakazu. The program will be bookended with pieces by composer Maurice Duruflé, performed by Kraig Scott.

Evensong on the campus of Walla Walla University began in 1962 and takes place about eight times per year. Two teachers, professor of music Melvin K. West (organist) and professor of communications Loren Dickinson (reader), wanted to shape a service to mark the end of the Sabbath. Because of this, the service changes time throughout the year to coincide with sunset.
