Jeffrey Wu — Guitar

Jeffrey Wu is a young rising guitarist who is equally at home in jazz, Brazilian, Cuban, and funk. He has performed with artists like Dave Glenn and Jovino Santos Neto(Hermeto Pascoal), leading the Whitman Jazz combo to win the best combo at the Lionel Hampton Festival (2024). Wu is studying with Robert Gomez (Norah Jones/Philip Glass), Dr. Doug Scarborough, Dave Glenn, and G. Louis Hemenway while playing with his group in Walla Walla. He is pursuing a graduate degree in jazz after college. 

Doug Scarborough — Bass

Doug Scarborough is a trombonist, bassist, pianist, guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer, and music educator who is equally at home in classical, jazz, and pop contexts. He has performed with top artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Grammy-winning bands like the Gypsy All-Stars and Mountain Heart, and the legendary guitar phenom Shawn Lane while winning three Down Beat jazz awards and contributing record reviews for the International Trombone Association Journal. On the classical side, in 2015, he performed Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra by Samuel Jones with the Walla Walla (WA) Symphony.

Phillip Ratner — Keyboards and Electronics

Philip's role in jazz big bands has earned him awards from DownBeat Magazine and Jazz At Lincoln Center's Essentially Ellington festival. Now, his performances are heightened by the modern flair of music technology and unusual instruments.
